Job summary

EssilorLuxottica Group is seeking a Plant Automation Engineer to support management, optimization, and development of automated systems in the manufacturing plant. You will analyze performance, troubleshoot robotics, and drive continuous improvement across production lines.

The role interfaces with Production, Maintenance, suppliers and technical teams to implement innovative solutions, monitor KPIs, and document procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• Alternative: technical diploma in Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or IT with advanced training in industrial automation.
• Strong interest in automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, robots, and machine vision systems.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and performance monitoring.
• Good knowledge of Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze performance of automated equipment and identify anomalies and losses.
• Support troubleshooting on robotic systems, automation software, and vision systems.
• Monitor machine KPIs with dashboards and data analysis.
• Participate in industrialization of new products on automated lines.
• Collaborate on software modifications and process optimizations.
• Assist in evaluating new investments and automation projects.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Prepare technical docs, procedures, and training materials.
• Contribute to continuous improvement via problem-solving methodologies.
