APM Terminals Vado Gateway is seeking an Automation Engineer to join the Asset Maintenance team. You will ensure reliability and availability of automated terminal systems, collaborating with operations, technology providers, and engineering teams.

The role offers an on-site position in Vado Ligure, Italy, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in a state-of-the-art container terminal.

Competenze

• Degree in Automation Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience with highly automated electromechanical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, actuators, breakers, and three-phase systems.
• Familiarity with PLCs, drives/inverters, I/O components; Siemens is a plus.

Mansioni

• Support project teams and end users during implementation of automated systems.
• Design, test, commission, and improve automation systems and networks.
• Troubleshoot network and wireless issues; document solutions and maintain knowledge bases.
• Monitor risks and opportunities; prepare reports and recommend preventive actions.
• Ensure IT/OT service management processes compliance and drive improvements.
• Coordinate with OEMs, system integrators, contractors, and suppliers.
