Commscope in Lombardy, Italy is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to maintain and optimize manufacturing equipment. You will lead automation initiatives, manage Capex projects from concept to commissioning, and coordinate with integrators to align IT/OT architectures.

The role focuses on improving equipment reliability, process control, and efficiency through structured support and continuous improvement. You will troubleshoot electromechanical systems and program PLC/HMI across major vendors.

Competenze

• Minimum 5-7 years in maintenance/automation in manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong troubleshooting of electromechanical control systems and continuous manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with VFD & servo programming and commissioning.
• HMI & SCADA programming and troubleshooting.
• Diagnostics of Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus communications.
• Knowledge of electrical power systems and control drawings.
• FMEA and RCA analysis familiarity.
• Basic hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting.
• Leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Lead controls scope for Capex projects from concept to commissioning and validation.
• Coordinate external integrators and vendors to align new lines with standards and IT/OT architecture.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, system architectures, and BOMs.
• Drive SPC-driven projects and support development of SPMs to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure safety norms are followed across all processes.
• Provide engineering support to close breakdowns and maximize machine uptime.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain 5S standards at the workplace.
