ABB Smart Power zoekt een Electromechanical Engineer voor het R&D-team in de Elektromechanica, ter ondersteuning van de technologische ontwikkeling van solid-state producten en het voorstellen en implementeren van innovatieve oplossingen in mechanische en thermo-hydraulische toepassingen.

U zult samenwerken met multidisciplinaire teams aan ontwikkeling en onderhoud, nieuwe producten ontwikkelen en bestaande producten beheren tegen hoge normen en regelgeving.

Competenze

• Afgeronde Bachelor/Master in Werktuigbouwkunde of Elektromechanische engineering.
• Kennis van elektromechanische en thermo-hydraulische systemen, ontwerp voor productie.
• Probleemoplossend en innovatief denken.
• In staat om effectief samen te werken in cross-functionele teams.
• Technische kennis en begrip van productnormen.
• Nauwkeurigheid en kwaliteitsbewustzijn.
• Ervaring in R&D of productontwikkeling; bekend met solid-state technologie.
• Goede communicatie in Engels en Italiaans.

Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking an Electromechanical Engineer to join our R&D team in the Electromechanics department. You will support the technological development of solid-state products, contributing your technical knowledge and innovative ideas to identify, propose, and implement advanced solutions in mechanical and thermo-hydraulic applications.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

• Supporting technological development and innovation of solid-state products
• Identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions in mechanical and thermo-hydraulic domains
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on assigned development and maintenance tasks
• Developing new products and maintain existing products in production
• Applying technical knowledge in a structured manner, adhering to product standards and regulations
• Executing assigned tasks under supervision, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards

Qualifications for the Role

• Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of Electromechanical and thermo-hydraulic systems. Design to manufactory
• Problem-solving and innovative thinking
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Technical proficiency and understanding of product standards
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Experience in product development or R&D environments preferred. Familiarity with solid-state technology
• You are at ease communicating in English and Italian.

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: € 36.000

Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus

The offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.
