Role Summary

We are seeking an insurance professional with 20+ years of diverse experience spanning Insurance Operations, Change Management, Business Analysis, Modern Technology Stack Architecture, Process Re-engineering, and Large-Scale Transformation Delivery across Individual, Group Life, and Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance lines of business.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in the India Life Insurance ecosystem—including IRDAI regulations, modern Digital Public Infrastructure, and product lifecycle management—combined with hands‑on proficiency with modern technology stacks – including Cloud-native architectures, Agentic AI, Data platforms, and Core Policy Administration Systems (PAS). Blend of domain knowledge and technical capability will enable effective stakeholder management, solution design, and successful execution of enterprise‑wide initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale transformation programs spanning Individual, Group Life, and P&C insurance lines of business, from strategy through execution.
• Drive insurance operations improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for change and process re-engineering across business and technical functions.
• Own end-to‑end business analysis for enterprise-wide initiatives, translating business requirements into actionable solution designs.
• Act as a bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring solutions address operational, customer, and regulatory needs.
• Manage change management efforts across impacted stakeholder groups, ensuring adoption and minimizing disruption during transformation.
• Lead cross‑functional and cross‑geography delivery teams, coordinating dependencies, risks, and milestones to achieve program objectives.
• Partner with senior business and technical stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, align on roadmaps, and secure buy‑in for enterprise‑wide change.
• Establish governance frameworks to track delivery progress, quality, and risk across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Champion continuous process improvement, identifying automation and efficiency opportunities across insurance operations.
• Support the successful execution of enterprise‑wide initiatives from inception to steady‑state operations.
• Establish Agile delivery governance, vendor ecosystems, risk frameworks, and multi‑stream delivery dependencies
• Drive AI and digital transformation initiatives across insurance value chains.
• Experience with Generative AI, AI Agents, Agentic Workflows, and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) to automate underwriting, claims processing, and customer servicing
• Evaluate, architect, and deliver modern technology solutions using cloud‑native frameworks, API‑first architectures, and modern core insurance platforms

Required Skills & Experience

• 18+ years of diverse experience in the insurance industry, spanning Individual Life, Group Life, and Property & Casualty (P&C) lines of business.
• Strong background across Insurance Operations, Change Management, Business Analysis, and Process Re‑engineering.
• Demonstrated experience leading large‑scale transformation delivery in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Strong track record of working across both business and technical functions, with the ability to translate between the two.
• Proven stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior business and technology leaders.
• Solid solution design capability, ensuring proposed solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned to business goals.
• Successful track record of executing enterprise‑wide initiatives from planning through to delivery.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and cross‑functional coordination skills.
• Experience with Insurance core systems and their transformation/migration strategies.
• Knowledge of AI Agents, Agentic workflows, prompt engineering, RAG architectures.
• Understanding of cloud services: AWS, Azure
• Familiarity with data platforms like Databricks and BI tools.
• Experience with Microservices architecture, REST APIs, and API Management tools.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI), infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform), and Agile delivery methodologies (SAFe, Scrum)
• Awareness of cybersecurity frameworks, data encryption, identity management, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Insurance Domain Understanding:
  • Knowledge of the Indian Life Insurance landscape including IRDAI regulations, product structures (traditional, ULIP, term, annuity, group life, micro‑insurance)
  • Understanding of KYC/AML norms, CKYC, e‑insurance accounts, product filing requirements, solvency regulations, and policyholder protection norms specific to India
