Job summary

Lear Corporation in Caivano, Campania, is seeking an Assistant Plant Controller to support the financial performance of our manufacturing operations. You will partner with the Plant Controller to provide financial analysis, maintain reporting, ensure internal controls, and support operational decision-making.

Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, costing, and month-end close, with strong focus on cost control and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or auditing.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (Hyperion experience is an advantage).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Analyze plant performance, manufacturing costs, and profitability trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with inventory valuation, standard costing, and bill of materials (BOM) costing activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, SOX requirements, and internal control procedures.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports and analyses for management.
• Review customer and supplier pricing data and evaluate turnover, margins, and profitability.
• Maintain financial data within ERP and reporting systems, including Hyperion.
• Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Partner with operational teams to resolve financial and business issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
