Siegwerk Italy SpA is seeking an Application Technology Specialist Paper & Board to provide technical expertise for printing ink applications, run lab and press trials, and support customer projects across the EMEA region from Poppi or Oleggio.

You will collaborate with R&D, Product Management, and sales, train customers, develop guidelines, monitor trends, and ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while building strong relationships.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• Proven experience in application technology, preferably in printing ink or packaging.
• Strong understanding of printing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and analytical mindset.
• Effective communicator with ability to present and train others.

As an Application Technology Specialist Paper & Board at Siegwerk Italy SpA, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our technological capabilities to support our innovative packaging ink solutions. This position is crucial in bridging the gap between our development teams and customer applications to ensure optimal product performance and customer satisfaction across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support and consultation to both internal departments and customers regarding application technologies related to Siegwerk Paper & Board products.
• Develop and optimize printing processes and application methods to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with R&D, sales, and production teams to troubleshoot issues and develop tailored solutions to meet client needs.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers and internal stakeholders to enhance understanding of application technology advances and best practices.
• Support the launch of new products by preparing application guidelines and technical documentation.
• Monitor market trends and technological advancements to continuously improve application processes and recommend innovations.
• Engage in cross-functional projects to contribute application expertise and ensure seamless integration of technology improvements.

Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Printing Technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Proven experience in application technology, preferably within the printing ink or packaging industry.
• Strong understanding of printing processes
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
• Effective communicator with the capability to deliver technical presentations and training.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multicultural and cross-functional teams across the EMEA region.
• Willingness to travel as required to support customers and participate in international projects.
• Good knowledge of English

Salary Range

We offer a competitive compensation package aligned with the candidate's qualifications, skills, and professional experience. The annual gross salary range for this position is EUR 35,000 to EUR 40,000, with the final offer determined based on the candidate's background and expertise.
