Job summary

Objectway, based in Milan, is seeking a full-time Applications Operations professional to support our SaaS OBS environments. You will monitor daily processing, manage interfaces to OBS, and assist with releases while collaborating with development and client support teams.

The role requires Linux/Windows administration, strong SQL/Oracle skills, scripting, and experience with automation and CI/CD. English is essential; German is a plus. Hybrid work model in Milan area.

Qualifications

• Completed studies or equivalent IT/banking training.
• Solid knowledge in Linux administration and Windows Server.
• Solid knowledge in SQL (ANSI) and Oracle DB administration.
• Experience with data centres and infrastructure operations.
• Shell scripting and programming languages (Python, Perl, C, C++ or Java).
• Experience with IT support, software packaging and delivery systems.
• Understanding of automation, CI and build tools.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence for service desk.
• Fluent English; German desirable.

Based in Milan but supporting our SaaS division in Germany, we are looking for a full-time employee in the Applications Operations team to start as soon as possible.

Job descripiton:

• You will be responsible for our SaaS OBS environments and the operation of various interfaces to and from OBS (Objectway Banking Suite)
• You monitor and control the daily and end-of-day processing
• You provide our software for our customers and support them with our releases
• You will work closely with the core banking development team, project management and client support teams
• You will help to ensure compliance with SLAs, internal and customer specifications and legal requirements
• You coordinate tests and in some cases carry them out yourself

Required Skills:

• Completed studies or equivalent practical IT/banking training
• Solid knowledge of the administration of Linux operating systems andWindows server
• Solid knowledge in SQL (ANSI) and experience with ORACLE DB-administration
• Experience in dealing with data centres (e.g. setting up and operating infrastructures)
• Solid knowledge in Shell-scripting and experience in one or more programming languages (Python, Perl, C, C++ or Java)
• Experience in IT support, software packaging and software delivery systems
• Understanding and knowledge of automation, continuous integration and build tools
• Experience with service desk tools such as Jira, Confluence etc
• Excellent problem solving skills and customer orientated approach to work
• Strong team and communication skills and a structured way of working
• Ability to collaborate with cross-site, functional teams
• Organisational skills and the ability to work under time pressure
• Agile mindset and experience with agile methods such as Jira and Confluence to support daily work
• Experience in project work
• Confident handling of Microsoft Office products
• Fluent English and good German language skills are also desirable
• Willingness to occasionally work outside normal business hours or on weekends to complete special tasks

• The salary range for this position is €35,000 – €45,000.
  This compensation complies with the pay transparency requirements set out in EU Directive 2023/970.
