Job summary

TheFork is seeking an Application Security Engineer to strengthen the security of its web applications and development pipelines. You will evaluate security posture, identify vulnerabilities, and work with developers to implement robust security controls.

You will leverage OWASP, AWS, and modern security testing tools in a fast-paced, collaborative environment across Europe. The role requires 4+ years of manual security testing and a strong foundation in cryptography and authentication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science.
• Security certifications are desirable (CISSP, GIAC, CEH, Security+, CSSLP).
• 4+ years of demonstrated manual security testing.
• Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience implementing and operating security technologies in a hybrid cloud environment (AWS).
• Strong understanding of IT operations and service support processes.

Responsibilities

• Scan TheFork web applications for vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation.
• Apply knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (Node/Typescript).
• Maintain strong IaaS security focus, with cloud emphasis on AWS.
• Research new security threats, vulnerabilities, and exploit techniques.
• Respond to threats and help implement new security requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to developers.
• Work in a team while maintaining confidentiality of investigation information.
• Apply OWASP concepts across solutions.
