IC Resources is seeking an AI Software Research Engineer – Agent Systems for its R+D Centre in Pisa. You will research and develop advanced AI/ML systems for the automotive industry, focusing on agent workflows, orchestration, and optimisation.

You will build AI workflows that combine AI Agents, LLMs and external tools to improve embedded engineering productivity and quality. The ideal candidate holds a PhD with several years of experience in software engineering and ML, and is proficient in C++

This leading technology developer urgently seeks an AI Software Research Engineer – Agent Systems to be based at their R+D Centre in Pisa. The AI Software Research Engineer – Agent Systems will be responsible for the research and development of next generation AI and ML systems used in the automotive industry worldwide. The AI Software Research Engineer – Agent Systems will be responsible for agent workflows, agent orchestration, agent optimisation and agent communications. The AI Software Research Engineer – Agent Systems will be developing AI workflows combining AI Agents, LLM’s and external tools to improve embedded engineering productivity and quality.

Having completed your PhD, you will have gained several years of experience, and a strong foundation, in software engineering principals and machine learning techniques. You will be comfortable using C++ and Python aimed at ML and LLMs. You will be familiar with AI agent frameworks, orchestration, optimisation and / or workflows and exposure to retrieval-augmented generation technology and any research publications in AI for Software Engineer or intelligent systems would be beneficial.
