Circeus in Milan seeks an analyst to source, evaluate and execute software acquisitions. You will work on live transactions from first look to signing, building analyses to decide pursuit, price, and structure.

You’ll run diligence across financial, legal, commercial and technical workstreams, coordinating advisers and internal teams toward a single timeline. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in related roles, strong modelling and valuation skills, and a real interest in how software businesses

Competenze

• One to three years in sell-side M&A, leveraged finance or equity research.
• Proven financial modelling and valuation skills built on live transactions.
• Ability to run several workstreams and coordinate advisers to deadlines.
• Clear, concise written analysis that informs decision-makers.
• Strong commercial judgement and genuine interest in software businesses.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, with high organisational ability.

Mansioni

• Screen inbound and proprietary deal flow against acquisition criteria.
• Build and maintain valuation and operating models across live opportunities.
• Coordinate financial, legal, commercial and technical diligence to a single timeline.
• Consolidate diligence findings and flag issues impacting price or structure.
• Analyze SaaS economics, including revenue retention and churn metrics.
• Write screening and investment memos for the investment committee.
• Prepare investor relations and fundraising materials and portfolio updates.
• Use AI tools to accelerate research and first-draft analysis.
• Maintain pipeline data across sourcing, diligence and execution stages.
