Circeus, based in Milan, is seeking an analyst to join the acquisitions team. You will work on live transactions from first look to signing, building analyses that decide whether to pursue targets and on what terms.

The role involves coordinating financial, legal, commercial and technical due diligence, consolidating findings, and supporting investor relations and fundraising materials. One to three years in sell-side M&A or related internships is ideal; fluent English required.

Competenze

• 1–3 years in sell-side M&A, leveraged finance or equity research, or a strong internship in those environments.
• Financial modelling and valuation skills built on live transactions.
• Ability to run several workstreams and external advisers to deadline with limited supervision.
• Clear, concise written analysis that stands on its own in front of decision-makers.
• Commercial judgement and genuine interest in how B2B software businesses make money.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Highly organized, with the instinct to structure messy inputs before being asked.

• Screen inbound and proprietary deal flow against our acquisition criteria.
• Build and maintain valuation and operating models across live opportunities.
• Coordinate financial, legal, commercial and technical diligence, holding advisers and internal teams to one timeline.
• Consolidate diligence findings and flag the issues that change price, structure or decision.
• Analyse SaaS economics, including net revenue retention, churn, cohort behaviour and revenue quality.
• Write screening and investment memos for the investment committee.
• Prepare investor relations and fundraising material, including portfolio reporting and investor updates.
• Use AI tools to compress research, data extraction and first-draft analysis.
• Maintain pipeline data across sourcing, diligence and execution stages.
