Job summary

Act Digital is seeking an AI/ML Engineer for a leading European institution. You will develop, train, and maintain ML models, NLP systems, and AI applications, leveraging LLMs and generative AI for concrete use cases.

You will implement data pipelines, semantic layers, and governance, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver robust AI solutions in a European context. Remote/flexible options are available for long-term engagement.

Responsibilities

Act Digital is looking for an AI/ML Engineer for a leading European institution.

TASKS :

• Develop agentic AI systems using Google ADK and / or LangGraph/Langchain.
• Develop, train, and maintain machine learning models and software applications in the fields of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), including the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI for specific use cases.
• Work on AI ready data improvements, e.g., semantic layer, agent skills.
• Define data controls and implement strategies to ensure data quality (consistency, completeness, accuracy, reasonableness), integrity, and the detection and mitigation of bias in datasets and AI models.
• Perform processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
• Draft technical guidelines, documentation, and presentations to effectively communicate complex AI concepts, project status, and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage services deployments through CI/CD pipelines and OpenShift cluster.

SENIORITY REQUIREMENTS :

To qualify for this position, the consultant must have:

• University degree corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (which typically corresponds to a master’s level or 5 years of higher education), and 5 years of IT professional experience.

REQUIREMENTS :

Required Certifications :

• Having successfully completed relevant training on how to deploy LLMs and Agents at Scale and build MCP servers.

One of the following or an equivalent certification:

• Certified Usability Analyst (CUA).
• Certified User Experience Analyst (CXA).
• Nielsen Norman Group (NN/g) UXCertification.
• Certified Professional in User Experience (CPUX).
• Google UX Design Professional Certificate.
• Akendi UX Certification.

Knowledge & Skills :

• Excellent knowledge of programming languages essential for AI/ML, primarily Python, and their key libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, pandas, SpaCy, NLTK).
• Excellent knowledge of data management principles, including data governance, data quality, data cleaning, and data lifecycle management for AI projects.
• Good knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, Neural Network, deep learning, and/or artificial intelligence frameworks.
• Good knowledge of generative AI, small and large language models.
• Good knowledge of data scraping and data integration pipelines.
• Expertise in AI ready data improvements through a semantic layer.
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms for building LLM solutions (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Studio) and frameworks for orchestration (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) and safety/guardrails.
• Good knowledge of AI Agent Orchestration frameworks, like Langchain or Semantic Kernel.
• Experience with data analytics over big datasets, non-structured databases as well as data lakes.
• Experience with MLOps practices and tools for model versioning, deployment, monitoring, and governance (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow).
• Ability to understand, speak and write English.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.
• Results-oriented mindset, focused on delivering.
• Good, applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
• Proficiency with programming skills in languages essential for AI development and key libraries.
