Aiclo is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to design, ship to production and continuously improve the AI pipeline that powers its sales conversation intelligence platform. You will work closely with the CTO to build reliable, measurable, and cost-efficient AI systems that scale across languages and contexts.

You will develop structured extraction, multi-tier architectures, and memory links across meetings, emails and contacts, enabling proactive Bots and To Dos with smart signals.

Competenze

• Minimum 3 years of experience as AI/ML or Software Engineer working on production LLM-based systems.
• Strong Python skills and experience with major model provider SDKs (OpenAI, Anthropic or similar).
• Hands-on experience designing structured extraction, classification and agent orchestration pipelines.
• Experience with evals, metrics and test datasets; not just gut feeling.
• Experience with relational databases and data modeling; familiarity with retrieval systems and vector databases.
• Ability to critically assess frameworks and tools, choosing simple, robust solutions.
• Attention to inference costs and scalability; fluent English communications.

Aiclo is a conversation intelligence platform for sales teams. We record and analyze video calls, phone calls and in-person meetings, and turn conversations into coaching, structured data and concrete actions for sales reps and managers.

We are now taking a big step forward: from a tool that analyzes the single meeting to a proactive coach that follows the entire deal over time. Aiclo brings meetings and emails together into a single memory for each account and opportunity, generates To Dos with deadlines and priorities, detects the signals that matter and learns from data which behaviors lead to closing. We are looking for someone to help build the AI engine of this new phase.

The role

You will work closely with our CTO and be responsible for designing, shipping to production and continuously improving Aiclo's AI pipeline. We are not looking for someone who writes prompts, but for someone who builds AI systems that are reliable, measurable and cost-sustainable.

What you will do

• Structured behavior extraction. Design the pipeline that extracts neutral, structured, timestamped behavioral moments from every conversation, comparing them against the company's declared sales method, the customer's reaction and the outcome of the deal. The system must be able to discover unexpected behaviors, not just check against a closed list.
• Multi-tier model architecture. Build and optimize the orchestration between fast, low-cost models for classification and filtering and larger models for reasoning, explanations and scorecards, balancing quality, latency and cost per call.
• Evaluation and quality. Define reference datasets and systematic evals (recall, precision, performance in Italian and other languages, long transcripts) for every component, and use them to decide what goes into production.
• Data model and memory. Reliably link meetings, emails and contacts to the right deal, and implement a three-level memory (organization, account, user) with its governance rules.
• Agents and automations. Develop Bots (proactive automations that managers can also create in natural language), custom signals with retroactive preview, and the reconciliation logic for To Dos, including workflows that run for days or weeks.
• Knowledge and retrieval. Integrate the customer's company knowledge (playbooks, sales method, materials) where it really adds value, choosing between direct context and retrieval depending on the case.
• Integrations. Contribute to bidirectional CRM integrations and to exposing Aiclo to external assistants via MCP.
• Privacy by design. Design cross-organization learning on aggregated data in compliance with GDPR and customers' commercial confidentiality.

What we are looking for

• At least 3 years of experience as an AI/ML Engineer or Software Engineer working on LLM-based systems in production
• Strong command of Python and of the main model provider SDKs (OpenAI, Anthropic or similar)
• Hands-on experience designing structured extraction, classification and agent orchestration pipelines
• A habit of working with evals, metrics and test datasets, not gut feeling
• Experience with relational databases and data modeling; familiarity with retrieval systems and vector databases
• The ability to critically assess frameworks and tools, choosing the simplest solution that holds up
• Attention to inference costs and scalability
• Fluent English (you will work with your colleagues exclusively in English)

Nice to have

• Experience with speech-to-text, diarization and conversational data
• Experience with workflow engines for long-running processes
• Knowledge of B2B sales processes and CRMs
• Experience with self-hosting or fine-tuning open source models
• Familiarity with GDPR and data anonymization
