ION's Graduate Development Program in Italy is a three-year journey designed for recent graduates who seek to automate and reinvent processes while contributing to live projects.

From day one you join ION on a full-time permanent contract, paired with senior professionals to guide your growth across four progressive phases and state-of-the-art product development practices.

Competenze

• Master's degree in a STEM discipline—obtained within the last year or currently in progress, with a strong academic record.
• Programming experience in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript.
• Strong communicator, collaborative by nature, fluent in English (B2+)
• Based in Italy or willing to relocate; non-EU candidates must hold a valid EU work permit.

Mansioni

• Across phases, you will gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art methodologies and technologies in our agile product development environment.
• Contributing directly to the development of ION's products, from requirements through to delivery.
• Design, develop, train, evaluate and iterate on Machine Learning models and Generative AI solutions.
• Work with Language Models (LLMs) and related techniques (e.g., prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, fine-tuning, evaluation).
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to build and ship innovative, high-impact products, solving complex technical problems and translating them into scalable, efficient solutions.

Our Graduate Development Program is a three-year journey designed for recent graduates who look beyond the obvious, challenge existing processes, and are driven to automate and reinvent the way things work.

The program is structured into 4 progressive phases, each with distinct learning objectives. Tasks evolve according to your abilities and interests, ensuring the experience is as individual as you are.

From day one, you join ION on a full‑time permanent contract, carry real accountability on live projects, and be paired with senior professionals who guide your development throughout the entire journey.

What You'll Do

• Across phases, you will gain hands‑on experience with state‑of‑the‑art methodologies and technologies in our agile product development environment. This role is designed to grow well rounded AI professionals, with a solid foundation in software engineering to bring models into production.
• Contributing directly to the development of ION's products, from requirements through to delivery.
• Design, develop, train, evaluate and iterate on Machine Learning models and Generative AI solutions.
• Work with Language Models (LLMs) and related techniques (e.g., prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, fine‑tuning, evaluation).
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to build and ship innovative, high‑impact products, solving complex technical problems and translating them into scalable, efficient solutions.

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in a STEM discipline — obtained within the last year or currently in progress, with a strong academic record
• Programming experience in one or more of: Python, Typescript, JavaScript
• Strong communicator, collaborative by nature, and fluent in English (B2+)
• Based in Italy or willing to relocate; non‑EU candidates must hold a valid EU work permit

Gross Salary Range 34.000 - 38.000 EUR
