We are looking for an AI Engineer to assist us in building exceptional web applications.

Who you are

• passionate AI Engineer responsible for developing web applications using technologies such as Python, Generative AI, and more. Experience with different LLM providers, prompt engineering, fine‑tuning and evaluation metrics is beneficial.
• Experience working on one or more projects in the AI field. Skilled in backend programming and integrating external services. Beneficial to have a good understanding and ease in the fields of Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and Data Science.
• great at working together with a team of designers, software engineers, and project managers to challenge and comprehend product needs from a business perspective.
• comfortable engaging with clients to understand and translate their business needs into product requirements.
• proactive and autonomous and prefer working without constant supervision. We provide a stimulating and supportive atmosphere where you can always learn and grow.
• fan of good UX, whether it's for your client's products or for tools used by your colleagues. You always aim for perfection and find the right balance between design and implementation.

Recruitment Process

• First contact: If your profile catches our attention, we will schedule a 30‑minute phone call with you. We will have the opportunity to get to know each other better and share our stories.
• Technical interview: If you apply for a technical position, such as a developer or designer role, we will conduct a one‑hour interview to assess the necessary hard skills and knowledge.
• Behavioral interview: If you have the required hard skills, we will evaluate your soft skills. We especially care about aspects such as the ability to collaborate with coworkers, teaching skills, and empathy.
• Take‑home project: For the final step, we will give you plenty of time to independently complete a 4 to 6‑hour‑long task, small but realistic. We will pay for your effort upon task completion, not its success.
• Onboarding: During onboarding, you’ll familiarize yourself with the work environment and company culture, and get to know your new colleagues and their roles.
• Training & Evaluation: During the initial weeks, we will provide comprehensive training and evaluate your progress on both practical and theoretical skills, tools, and methodology.

• Full‑remote positions: We have a hybrid remote work policy. Employees are required to be physically present on specific occasions, such as project days (one day a week dedicated to the main project), BJR Technology days (one day a month), and on‑site weeks (two weeks a year). We also have Remote Months, allowing employees to work remotely for two months a year.
• Body rental service: We do not provide body‑rental services. We prefer establishing impactful, long‑term partnerships through project‑based collaborations.
• Italian language requirement: Speaking Italian is necessary for most positions. Knowledge of Italian is optional only for collaboration roles. We value diverse cultures and perspectives.
