STMicroelectronics Italia is seeking a motivated Process Engineer to join the Metal Deposition team in the FEM–AG300 organization. You will support Engineering and Manufacturing with micro- and nano-fabrication processes for metal thin-film deposition, including PVD, CVD and electroplating.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure process robustness, optimize recipes, troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement in yield and quality.

Competenze

  • Master's degree in materials science, physics, chemistry, engineering or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good ability to analyze complex data and use tools for statistical analysis.
  • Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Motivation to work in a dynamic environment with different teams and external suppliers.
  • Teamwork attitude.
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor physics and microfabrication processes.

Mansioni

  • Ensure the robustness and manufacturability of the processes with recipe optimization, process window and robustness tasks.
  • Sustain manufacturing process and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Monitor process performance and yield with SPC, defect analysis and FDC.
  • Startup new equipment and perform process qualification.
  • Prepare and optimize operative procedure and work instruction.
  • Troubleshoot excursions and drive root-cause analysis (8D) to restore process stability.

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a motivated and passionate candidate for the position of Process Engineer in the Metal Deposition module of the FEM–AG300 organization. The role involves supporting the Engineering and Manufacturing teams, with a focus on managing and controlling micro- and nano-fabrication processes for metal thin-film deposition, including Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and electroplating processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the robustness and manufacturability of the processes with recipe optimization, process window and robustness tasks
