Job summary

Avenza Aero Alliance in Italy is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to define, design and implement equipment for shop floor support and productivity improvements. You will develop procedures, work instructions, and methods to sustain production and reduce costs.

The role requires collaboration with lines leaders, EHS, Quality, Lean, Finance and Product/Sourcing teams. Fluent English and Italian, CAD/ERP experience, and a Lean mindset are key.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma) or equivalent knowledge or work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Proficient skills in PC, Microsoft Office, Excel, Access.
• Use of CAD tooling.
• Oracle or other ERP system experience.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Be a solution-oriented problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support in the disassembly, repairs and assembly processes for the shop floor.
• Define, design, and follow the execution of equipment/devices/machines from drafting to commissioning.
• Develop work instructions, methods, processes and procedures for shop use.
• Define hours for shop floor routings according to the operation.
• Lead analysis and metrics to monitor shop floor performance (efficiency/productivity).
• Provide leadership/mentorship for team to drive shop floor improvements.
• Share best practices across shop floor to drive consistency and continuous improvement.
• Track expenses and define investment plans with cross-functional teams.
• Support process improvement initiatives and lean activities.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to drive quality and safety culture.
