Bata Group, AW LAB part of the Bata group, is seeking an Accountant Intern to join the Finance Europe Team and support accounting activities across Italy, Spain and Switzerland.

You will gain hands-on experience in accounts payable, general accounting, reconciliations, audit support, and process improvements within an international environment.

• University student or graduate in Economics/Finance/Accounting or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE:

We are looking for an ACCOUNTANT INTERN to join the Finance Europe Team, supporting accounting and financial activities across Italy, Spain, and Switzerland. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in areas such as accounts payable, general accounting, reconciliations, audit support, and process improvement, while working in a dynamic and international environment alongside experienced finance professionals.

KEY CHALLENGES:

• Support in the management and monitoring of accounts payable activities
• Support in the preparation and posting of accounting adjustment entries
• Collaboration in the management of general accounting activities, including invoice recording and account reconciliations
• Support in the preparation of documentation required for external audits and internal audit activities
• Support in verifying compliance and adequacy of financial processes in line with company policies and applicable regulations
• Contribution to the implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes

CORE COMPETENCIES:

• University in progress or Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related fields
• Good knowledge of Office Suite, especially Excel
• Delivers in consistent way following his department priorities, respecting the deadlines
• Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Good analytical skills and attention to details

LANGUAGES:

• Italian mother tongue
• Good knowledge of English
