For our Finance department, we are looking for an enthusiastic new colleague to strengthen our driven Italian team in Milan!

The candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable cycle and general accounting activities, contributing to the periodic closing processes, tax compliance, and reporting to the parent company. The role requires close collaboration with the Finance team and progressive involvement in the company's key administrative and accounting activities.

Your tasks

• You will take ownership of the entire accounts payable process, including invoice verification, posting, and cost center allocation.
• You will monitor supplier due dates and prepare payments in a timely and accurate manner.
• You will perform account reconciliations, including bank and intercompany accounts.
• You will support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals.
• You will contribute to general accounting activities, financial reporting, and management analyses.
• You will ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage VAT, Intrastat, and other statutory reporting requirements.
• You will collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders while supporting continuous improvements in accounting and internal control processes.

Your profile

• You have a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a comparable qualification, combined with solid accounting experience.
• You have a strong understanding of accounting principles, including IFRS and Italian GAAP.
• You are familiar with accounts payable processes, journal entries, and month-end closing activities.
• You are confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• You are fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
• You have experience working with ERP systems; knowledge of SAP Business One and/or SAP S/4HANA is a strong advantage.
• You work accurately, take ownership of your responsibilities, and enjoy collaborating with colleagues across different functions.
