Position

Account Manager – Central and Southern Italy (Umbria, Marche, Campania, Lazio, and Puglia). You will be the main sales contact for the territory, representing the full range of Quaker Houghton products, equipment, and services. Focus on nurturing relationships with our existing customer base, primarily in the metalworking fluids market, while driving cross-selling and customer satisfaction initiatives.

What will you do?
  • Develop business growth in Central and Southern Italy (Umbria, Marche, Campania, Lazio, Puglia) to achieve company sales and gross margin targets by regularly visiting customer sites
  • Build strong relationships with key customer contacts across all levels, existing and prospective, to increase customer satisfaction and cross-selling success
  • Prepare and present customer presentations, proposals, commercial offers and value selling plans that demonstrate the benefits and value Quaker Houghton adds
  • Deliver sound technical advice to customers, working with Product Application team to implement and offer new solutions
  • Coordinate with the KAM team to align with account strategy and maximize business potential
  • Collaborate with the QH Fluid Intelligence Solutions team regarding equipment sales
  • Coordinate with Customer Service and Technical Service teams to meet overall customer expectations
  • Regularly report to management on sales targets, budgets and forecast using CRM, Excel and other IT tools
  • Attend and participate in conferences and industry trade shows
  • Monitor competitors, industry trends and regional regulations to provide feedback for innovation and market development
What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of technical sales experience in a B2B environment, ideally related to metalworking processes and the automotive sector. Experience managing both end user and distributor accounts is an advantage.

  • Education: Engineering degree (mechanical, chemical, industrial or similar)
  • Languages: Italian (bilingual) and English (professional level written & spoken)
  • Previous work experience in metalworking fluids, lubricants, grease, coolants or similar industrial chemical markets

Profile: A dynamic professional with excellent communication and presentation skills to build trust-based relationships with key stakeholders

Location: Field-based role in Central and Southern Italy; travel across Umbria, Marche, Campania, Lazio, and Puglia
