Job summary

FTI Consulting in Italy is seeking an Associate for the Corporate Finance team, starting in September 2027. You will join project teams and work with clients on diverse engagements, contributing to analyses and deliverables.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in financial and operational modelling, market research and planning, with a focus on restructuring and performance improvement. Fluent English and Italian required.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a full-time bachelor’s or master’s degree with a graduation date between June 2026 – June 2027.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline will be considered; quantitative degrees are preferred.
• Fluent English and Italian (speaking and writing).

Responsibilities

About The Role

In the Corporate Finance team at FTI Consulting, we focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. Our services include pre-deal commercial and operations due diligence, post-merger integration, business plan development, financial restructuring and insolvency solutions, and performance improvement, including interim management.

We work with major international financial institutions, private equity houses, global law firms, and corporates,oncases encompassing an extensive range of industries. We work closely with clients to quickly ascertain key issues and implement viable and sustainable restructuring solutions and exit strategies.

What You’ll Do

Our Associates will gain an overview of all aspects of Corporate Finance at FTI Consulting. The successful candidate will participate in project teams, working with clients on the execution of various engagements.

Day-to-day tasks will vary by day, but you can expect to undertake many of the following:

• Researching an identified sector or business to evaluate past trends, market sentiments, strategic, operational, commercial issues and opportunities and potential improvement areas.
• Contribute to reports, pitches, stakeholder presentations and industry thought pieces.
• Assist in conducting detailed market and company analysis to identify advisory opportunities.
• Assist in performing financial and operational modelling to evaluate business viability, liquidity and profitability.
• Assist in assessing operational efficiency through benchmarking and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in the development of business plans, turnaround strategies and implementation roadmaps.
• Contribute to carve-out and integration planning, supporting execution of restructuring initiatives.
• Depending on capability and opportunity, being a part of a project and supporting team with analysis and deliverable creation.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a full-time bachelor’s degree or completing a master’s program with a graduation date between June 2026 – June 2027
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline will be considered, though quantitative degrees (e.g., Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, etc.) are preferred.

Compensation

Minimum Pay: €42.000

Maximum Pay: €54.000

Compensation Disclosure

The candidate will be assigned to the category of the white-collars (impiegati) and with application of the National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Employees of the Commercial Sector (Confcommercio), with all relevant economic provisions.

Compensation range reflects potential gross base salary for the posted role. The actual salary is determined with reference to the relevant market sector, taking into account the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
