Job summary

MAS Financial Services seeks a Zonal Collections Head to lead end-to-end collections across multiple states, ensuring portfolio health and target achievement. The role requires guiding State/Regional Heads, monitoring key metrics, and ensuring adherence to regulations while driving automation and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in collections with 3–5 years in regional leadership, and a proven record of in-house team leadership and strong negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate education required.
• 10–15 years in collections with at least 3–5 years in state/regional leadership.
• In-house collections team leadership experience essential.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Deep understanding of legal/regulatory frameworks in collections.
• Strategic planning and execution capability.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end collections operations across multiple states to meet recovery targets.
• Develop and implement strategic collection plans for zonal recovery/delinquency targets.
• Lead, guide, and motivate State/Regional Collections Heads.
• Monitor KPIs including DPD, roll rates, recovery ratios, and costs.
• Ensure adherence to policies, laws, and regulatory guidelines.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and digital collection initiatives.
• Collaborate with Credit, Risk, and Legal for end-to-end resolutions.
• Build relationships with customers, agencies, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive and manage end-to-end collections operations across multiple states to achieve recovery targets, ensure compliance, and maintain portfolio health.

• Develop and implement strategic collection plans to achieve zonal recovery and delinquency targets.
• Lead, guide, and motivate State/Regional Collections Heads to deliver strong portfolio performance.
• Monitor key metrics including DPD, roll rates, recovery ratios, and cost of collections to ensure sustained improvement.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, regulatory guidelines, and legal requirements in collection operations.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and digital collection initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Credit, Risk, and Legal to drive end-to-end resolution strategies.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, agencies, and external partners to support ethical recoveries.
• Review and present performance insights to senior leadership, implementing corrective actions where needed.

Preferred candidate profile

Education: Graduate / Postgraduate

Experience: 10 - 15 years in collections with at least 3 - 5 years in state or regional leadership role.
