YR Gaitonde MedicalEducational & Research Foundation (YRGMERF) invites applications for a Technical Expert to mentor and supervise DISHA cluster units within the NACP V framework. The role emphasizes public health expertise, mentoring, and capacity building across district-level teams.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of public health experience, with willingness to travel extensively and coordinate with multiple health departments.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and supervise DISHA cluster units with on-site guidance.
  • Conduct monthly visits to DISHA units for mentoring and supervision.
  • Provide technical guidance on NACP V components to DISHA units.
  • Strengthen coordination with NHM, NTEP, NVHCP at district level.
  • Ensure timely monthly reports and verify data from facilities.
  • Guide DISHA on advocacy, stakeholder coordination, and IEC materials.
  • Support implementation of NACP V strategies and improve 95-95-95 targets.
  • Conduct minimum 20 days of field visits per month for on-site support.

YRGMERFis anticipating a project to strengthen the Urban Ecosystem Against FutureDisease Threats by implementing a framework for urban-peri-urban coordination.This project if commissioned will require a team of below positions to supportthe coordination, implementation and monitoring of several components.

KeyResponsibilities

The Technical Expertswill provide mentoring and supportive supervision to DISHA cluster units,ensuring the effective implementation of the National AIDS Control Program(NACP) V. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in public health,particularly in HIV/AIDS programs, and possess strong mentoring and supervisoryskills..

Mentoring and Supervision:
  • Based at the clusterlevel, provide mentoring support to 4 to 5 DISHA cluster units or DISHA singleunits.
  • Conduct monthly visits toall assigned DISHA units to provide on-site mentoring and supportivesupervision.
  • Provide evidence-basedtechnical guidance on all components of NACP V to the DISHA units.
Coordination and Collaboration:
  • Strengthen coordinationwith allied health departments at the district level (NHM, NTEP, NVHCP) forenhanced referral linkages.
  • Make field visits to NACPfacilities along with DISHA staff for supportive supervision and capacitybuilding.
Reporting and Data Quality:
  • Ensure the timely andquality submission of monthly reports for DISHA.
  • Verify data reported by atleast 3 facilities per district each month and provide inputs to ensure dataquality.
Guidance and Capacity Building:
  • Guide the DISHA team onadvocacy, stakeholder coordination, and coordination with other departments inthe district.
  • Assist DISHA in developingdistrict profiles, integrated action plans, and DISHA-specific IEC materials.
  • Orient and ensure optimalimplementation of all component activities as per NACP V in the district/DISHAcluster.
Implementation of Strategies:
  • Guide DISHA units onimplementing new strategies of NACP V, such as CSS, SSS, SOA, use of virtualmedia, APN, index case, etc.
  • Provide component-wiseinputs and guidance to enhance the overall performance of DISHA units.
Performance Improvement:
  • Responsible for periodicalimprovement in the 95-95-95 performance targets of the DISHA cluster.
Field Visits:
  • Conduct field visits for aminimum of 20 days per month to provide on-site support and supervision.
Requirements
