PositionOverview:
Established in 1993, YRGCARE is a premier non-government organization providing comprehensive HIVservices in India. Its objective is to provide prevention, care, support, andtreatment services for people living with HIV/AIDS, to prevent new infections,and to ensure that patients and their families are treated with dignity.
YRGCARE is the sub-recipient of the GFATM 2024-27 cycle of funding from NACO to implementDISHA This project aims at Strengthening the systems of District IntegratedStrategy for HIV/ AIDS under NACP V
The Technical Experts will provide mentoring and supportive supervision to DISHAcluster units, ensuring the effective implementation of the National AIDSControl Program (NACP) V. The ideal candidates will have extensive experiencein public health, particularly in HIV/AIDS programs, and possess strongmentoring and supervisory skills.
KeyResponsibilities:
Mentoring and Supervision:
- Based at the cluster level, providementoring support to 4 to 5 DISHA cluster units or DISHA single units.
- Conduct monthly visits to all assignedDISHA units to provide on-site mentoring and supportive supervision.
- Provide evidence-based technicalguidance on all components of NACP V to the DISHA units.
Coordination and Collaboration:
- Strengthen coordination with alliedhealth departments at the district level (NHM, NTEP, NVHCP) for enhancedreferral linkages.
- Make field visits to NACP facilitiesalong with DISHA staff for supportive supervision and capacity building.
Reporting and Data Quality:
- Ensure the timely and qualitysubmission of monthly reports for DISHA.
- Verify data reported by at least 3facilities per district each month and provide inputs to ensure dataquality.
Guidance and Capacity Building:
- Guide the DISHA team on advocacy,stakeholder coordination, and coordination with other departments in thedistrict.
- Assist DISHA in developing districtprofiles, integrated action plans, and DISHA-specific IEC materials.
- Orient and ensure optimal implementationof all component activities as per NACP V in the district/DISHA cluster.
Implementation of Strategies:
- Guide DISHA units on implementing newstrategies of NACP V, such as CSS, SSS, SOA, use of virtual media, APN,index case, etc.
- Provide component-wise inputs andguidance to enhance the overall performance of DISHA units.
Performance Improvement:
- Responsible for periodical improvementin the 95-95-95 performance targets of the DISHA cluster.
Field Visits:
- Conduct field visits for a minimum of20 days per month to provide on-site support and supervision.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work,Sociology, Public Health, Humanities, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience inpublic health projects, particularly in HIV/AIDS programs.
- Strong understanding of NACP V andpublic health systems.
- Excellent mentoring, supervisory, andcapacity-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solvingabilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis andreporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonalskills.
- Flexibility to travel extensively withinthe assigned region.
