Job summary

YR Gaitonde Medical Educational & Research Foundation (YRGMERF) invites applications for a Program Associate to support the Urban Ecosystem project in Guwahati, Assam. The role involves coordinating with stakeholders, data collection, and assisting in reporting and documentation.

The candidate should hold a Masters in Social Studies or Population Studies with at least 3 years of documentation and health project experience, with good knowledge of Assam Health Systems and a collaborative work

Qualifications

  • Masters in Social Studies or Population Studies with at least 3 years' experience.
  • Experience in Urban Health, Disease Surveillance, and One Health activities.
  • Ability to document, report, and design case studies and testimonials.
  • Understanding of Assam Health Systems is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Support project activities in coordination with stakeholders and report to State Manager.
  • Ensure staff orientation and delivery of monthly deliverables.
  • Support field documentation, testimonials, and other AV products.
  • Assist in planning and monitoring field activities and donor reporting.

YRGMERFis anticipating a project to strengthen the Urban Ecosystem Against FutureDisease Threats by implementing a framework for urban-peri-urban coordination.This project if commissioned will require a team of below positions to supportthe coordination, implementation and monitoring of several components.

Key Responsibilities

The Program Associate will beresponsible for supporting the project activities in coordination withstakeholders. Will report to State Manager in Guwahati. Will work closely withother team members.

Project Implementation Support
  • Will be responsible to ensure that thestaff are in the project are oriented on their duties and provided necessaryguidance to carry out day to day tasks, reporting in designated formats.
  • Ensures that the baseline usingsecondary sources is completed on time and the report is prepared,
  • Ensures the monthly deliverables arecompiled in coordination with project staff, supports in preparation oftechnical brief by designing them, reviewing the contents and languages,supports in translation if any required.
  • Ensuresthat the review meetings, stakeholder meetings and on-line discussions are reportedand reviewed for final sharing.
  • Supportsin field documentation, testimonial videos and other documentation related workby planning them in advance, ensuring the plan is consulted with thestakeholders and donor. Supports in procurement and orientation of theresources if any, monitoring of the deliverables and timely completion.
  • Supportsin preparing monthly and quarterly workplan in coordination with field team,ensures monitoring the progress and regular weekly updates with the State andNational team.
  • Ensurespreparation of required documents for submission to the stakeholders and donor.
  • Participatesin field visits, for this if required supports in preparation of various toolsthat captures the project essence beyond data and figures.
Additional Duties
  • Undertake any other responsibilitiesassigned by the supervisor in support of project objectives.
  • Abilityto learn fast and work with senior and experienced subject experts
  • Knowledgeof latest tools for designing case studies, testimonial videos, other AVproducts
  • Understandingof Assam Health Systems is must
  • Abilityto work in a multi-disciplinary team and manage time for multiple tasks
Qualifications and Experience

Masters in Social Studies, or PopulationStudies with minimum 3 years' experience in managing documentation, UrbanHealth, Disease Surveillance, One Health Activities, National Vector BorneControl Program.
