Job summary

TIS Labs Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a Senior Storage Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team in Mumbai. The role requires 6+ years of storage experience and hands-on expertise with EMC VMAX/PMAX, NetApp, and Brocade SAN environments.

The candidate will manage storage provisioning, policies, incident/change processes, and perform capacity and performance monitoring to ensure optimal storage operations for clients. Immediate joiners are considered.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Dell EMC VMAX3/PMAX and NetApp storage solutions.
• Experience with SAN fabrics, zoning and storage virtualization.
• Proficiency in storage provisioning and capacity planning.
• Experience in vendor management and PoC with OEMs.

Responsibilities

• Provision storage for physical and virtual servers.
• Develop and enforce storage management policies alongside the customer team.
• Manage software/firmware updates and incident/change requests.
• Coordinate migration activities and monitor performance reports.
• Create NFS, CIFS and SVM shares as required.
• Assist with storage and server decommissioning processes.
• Prepare SOPs for storage administration with the customer team.

Requirements

Good knowledge on : Dell EMC VMAX3, PMAX, Netapp and Brocade SAN Switches

1) Storage provisioning of physical and virtual servers.

2) Assisting in the development of storage management policy, configuration and management of disk array, storage virtualization, Storage allocation, Zoning, SAN fabric / switches,

4) Performs software/firmware management assistance and collaboration.

5) Implements Incident and change management requests.

6) Manages migration activities (monitor reports).

7) NFS, CIFS & SVM creation

9) Basic idea of cabling from storage to switch and switch to server (to be able to guide DC team with cabling tasks)

10) Vendor management and PoC for OEM as and when required

13) Knowledge and experience in Server decommissioning process

14) Knowledge and experience in Storage decommissioning process

15) Troubleshooting of ISL/ICL related issues

16) Assist in Preparation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) document for the Storage Administration along with customer team.

17) Capacity Reporting and planning

18) Performance monitoring and reporting

Requirements

The candidate will be part of Service delivery and support the Storage operation of client.

Assisting in management of storage environment to maintain performance at desired optimum levels along with OEM and customer team.

Good knowledge of the following : Dell EMC VMAX3, PMAX, VNX, ISILON, & Netapp.Brocade SAN Switches
