Job summary

Heni Chemical Industries in Gujarat invites an experienced Works Manager to lead daily operations, drive safe production, and meet manufacturing targets.

You will oversee Safety, QC/QA, Production Planning, and Cost/Yield control, ensuring compliance with GMP/FDA, ISO and environmental norms.

The role requires 10+ years in plant operation, strong leadership, and hands-on capability to coach supervisors and operators in a multi-product chemical plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Diploma candidates will also be considered.
• 10+ years of hands-on operation experience in a chemical plant with GMP/FDA/ISO compliance.
• Strong leadership and team coaching skills with experience managing supervisors and operators.
• Solid understanding of safety and quality regulations in chemical manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations to ensure safe, compliant production and target attainment.
• Oversee safety systems and ensure compliance by people and equipment.
• Coordinate QC/QA activities ensuring GMP, FDA, ISO compliance.
• Plan production, allocate equipment, manage manpower and maintenance.
• Monitor yield, control process costs and monitor utilities.

Job Description / Responsibilities

We're looking for a dynamic Works Manager to lead daily operations, ensuring safe production output, and meeting targets.

Safety:

• Ensure safe systems.
• Ensure implementation by people and equipment.

QC/QA Coordination:

• Adherence to all compliances (GMP/FDA, Pollution, ISO, Others)

Production Planning:

• Equipment Allocation
• Manpower Planning.
• Maintenance Planning.

Yield / Cost Control:

• Process monitoring- RM consumption control.
• Utility monitoring and control.

Desired profile of the candidate

• BSc, MSc, BE/Btech Chemical
• Experienced candidates with a Diploma will also be considered.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Plant Operation. Experience in GMP, FDA, and ISO-compliant plants is a must.
• Excellent understanding of chemical batch technology in a general-purpose multi-product environment
• Demonstrable people skills, a team player, and the ability to coach.
• Should have handled a team of supervisors and operators.
• Excellent understanding of chemical manufacturing regulations in terms of safety and quality.
• Experience in managing labor & labor contractors.
