Job summary

PwC Hyderabad is seeking a hands-on payroll specialist to deliver HR transformation projects for clients. You will participate in requirements, configuration, testing, and go-live activities across payroll systems and HRIS platforms.

With 4-8 years of related experience, you will work on payroll processes, compliance, data validation, and client-facing discussions to ensure successful implementations across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of progressive payroll, HR transformation, payroll implementation, HRIS, consulting, outsourcing, shared services, or related experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting payroll operations, payroll implementations, payroll system configuration, testing, data migration, or payroll transformation projects.
• Experience working across payroll implementation phases, including requirements gathering, process documentation, configuration support, testing, parallel runs, cutover, and go-live support.
• Solid understanding of payroll processes, pay rules, payroll calendars, payroll inputs, deductions, earnings, taxes, reconciliations, controls, and payroll compliance concepts.
• Knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations, payroll tax compliance, wage and hour requirements, and labor law considerations; exposure to multi-jurisdictional or international payrolls is preferred.
• Experience with enterprise payroll or HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG Pro, Ceridian Dayforce, ADP, Paycom, or similar systems.
• Experience supporting client-facing meetings, requirements workshops, testing sessions, status updates, and issue resolution discussions.
• Familiarity with HRIS data migration, data mapping, data validation, payroll reconciliation, and parallel payroll run processes.
