Vihiraconsultancy is hiring a Workday Payroll Architect to own end-to-end payroll architecture across multiple companies for a leading US-based engineering and consulting organisation. The role requires hands-on Workday Payroll configuration and strong US tax knowledge, with collaboration across Benefits, Absence and HCM teams.

Formación

• 4–8 years of Workday Payroll configuration experience.
• Active Workday Payroll certification mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of US payroll taxes (federal/state/local).
• Experience with Workday EIB, Payroll Input and reporting.
• Experience with multi-company tenants is a plus.
• Comfortable working with US stakeholders and hours.

Responsabilidades

• Own the architecture and configuration of the Workday Payroll ecosystem across multiple companies.
• Configure garnishments, pre-tax and post-tax deductions, retro pay, off-cycle payrolls, bonuses and year-end processing.
• Create and validate US federal, state and local tax configurations to ensure compliance.
• Develop reports and dashboards for payroll analytics.
• Lead testing, deployment to production and regression testing for Workday releases.
• Collaborate with Benefits, Absence, HCM teams and interface with integration developers.
• Support timesheet-to-payroll posting and prevailing wage payroll practices.
• Conduct data audits to ensure payroll data integrity.

Role & responsibilities

We are hiring a Workday Payroll Architect for a leading US-based engineering and consulting organisation. The role owns the end-to-end Workday Payroll architecture across multiple companies.

• Own the architecture and configuration of the Workday Payroll ecosystem across multiple companies
• Build and maintain pay components, pay component groups, earning and deduction codes, eligibility rules and payroll calculations
• Configure garnishments, pre-tax and post-tax deductions, retro pay, off-cycle payrolls, bonuses and year-end processing
• Create and validate US federal, state and local tax configurations to ensure compliance
• Partner with Benefits, Absence, Compensation and HCM teams on accurate end-to-end payroll processing
• Work with Workday Integration developers on all integrations impacting payroll
• Support timesheet-to-payroll posting for a consulting business model, including prevailing wage pay practices
• Develop Standard, Advanced and Matrix reports, and maintain payroll dashboards
• Complete payroll inputs and payroll EIBs
• Conduct data audits to ensure payroll data integrity
• Lead configuration testing and deployment to production, and regression testing for Workday releases
• Identify improvements in payroll accuracy, automation and employee experience
• Test Workday AI features such as the Payroll Agent
• Support the HCM Manager with change management plans and end-user guides

Preferred candidate profile

• 4 to 8 years of hands-on Workday Payroll configuration experience (support-only or processing-only profiles will not be considered)
• Strong knowledge of US payroll taxes: federal, state and local
• Clear understanding of touchpoints between Workday Benefits, Absence, HCM and Payroll
• Active Workday Payroll certification (mandatory)
• Experience with Workday EIB, Payroll Input and Workday reporting
• Good to have: prevailing wage / certified payroll experience
• Good to have: consulting or professional services background with project timesheet posting
• Good to have: Workday Time Tracking and multi-company tenant experience
• Comfortable working with US stakeholders, with partial overlap with US hours
• Strong communication, documentation and testing discipline
