Key Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and support Workday North America Payroll solutions.
- Troubleshoot payroll-related issues, including payroll configurations, calculated fields, EIBs, payroll integrations, and business processes.
- Ensure system stability, performance, and sustainability.
- Act as a functional and technical consultant for HR systems, data, and payroll processes.
- Analyze business requirements and recommend scalable system solutions.
- Evaluate process impacts on technology and data architecture.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency.
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders to define configuration requirements, reporting needs, integration requirements, and process enhancements.
- Deliver actionable recommendations aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with third‑party payroll vendors to support end‑to‑end payroll processing.
- Ensure alignment between internal payroll operations and external payroll providers.
- Support payroll compliance, accuracy, and operational timelines.
- Support and deliver global HR technology initiatives through discovery, planning, configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
- Manage multiple projects and enhancements simultaneously.
- Create and execute test strategies, test scripts, and validation scenarios.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing activities.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of system enhancements and implementations.
- Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation.
- Communicate system changes and process updates to business users.
- Support user training, adoption, and knowledge transfer activities.
- Stay current on Workday releases, payroll trends, and HR technology innovations.
- Recommend improvements to payroll systems, business processes, and user experiences.
- Support initiatives such as new third‑party payroll vendor implementations, payroll setup for newly acquired or established companies, payroll earning and deduction configuration, payroll GL updates and mapping, payroll reporting enhancements, tax adjustments and compliance updates, retroactive payroll calculations, off‑cycle payroll processing, and payroll discrepancy investigation and resolution.
Required Skills & Experience
- Workday Expertise
- Strong hands‑on experience configuring and supporting Workday North America Payroll.
- Experience with payroll calculations, business processes, integrations, calculated fields, and EIBs.
- HR Technology & Integrations
- Understanding of Workday payroll integrations.
- Experience supporting HR systems and enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of data flows, interfaces, and integration troubleshooting.
- Business Analysis
- Ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong process analysis and solution design capabilities.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Project & Vendor Management
- Experience working with third‑party vendors and implementation partners.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and project timelines.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years supporting and delivering complex HR technology solutions.
- 7+ years preferred in enterprise HR systems and payroll technologies.
