Job summary

Kornferry in Pune, India, seeks a technofunctional Workday HCM consultant to partner with HR, Payroll, and IT to translate business needs into system solutions.

You will provide end-to-end functional support for Workday Core HCM and modules across the employee lifecycle, gather requirements, document designs, and support integrations and testing. Fluent English and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of hands-on Workday experience (Core HCM, Recruitment, Absence, Performance, Time Tracking).
• Experience in full life cycle Workday HR implementations (preferred).
• Config, data validation, and troubleshooting within Workday.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technofunctional consultant for Workday HCM, partnering with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into system solutions.
• Provide end-to-end functional support for Workday Core HCM and related modules across the employee lifecycle.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specs, and process designs.
• Support and coordinate Workday integrations, particularly payroll integrations, ensuring accurate data flow.
• Manage incident resolution, change requests, and enhancements with timely, high-quality delivery.
• Participate in testing activities including unit, system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve system issues.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and development standards.

Role & responsibilities

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Act as a technofunctional consultant for Workday HCM, partnering with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into system solutions.

Provide endtoend functional support for Workday Core HCM and associated modules across the employee lifecycle.

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process designs.

Support and coordinate Workday integrations, particularly payroll integrations, ensuring accurate data flow between Workday and thirdparty systems.

Manage incident resolution, change requests, and enhancements, ensuring timely and highquality delivery.

Participate in testing activities including unit testing, system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve system issues.

Ensure compliance with internal processes and methods: Development standards, documentation update

Preferred candidate profile

• 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Workday modules (Core HCM, Recruitment, Absence Management, Performance Management, Time Tracking etc.)
• Experience in full life cycle Workday HR implementations (preferred)
• Practical experience in configuration, data validation, and troubleshooting within Workday.
• Daily operational tasks and system checks
• Experience working on inbound and outbound integrations, including EIBs, reports, and vendor integrations (especially payrollrelated).
• Familiarity with HR operational processes such as hire, job change, termination, leave management, and performance cycles.
• Strong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
• Experience of handling Workday Bi Annual Product Updates. (good to have)
• Exposure to payroll systems is preferred
• Experience operating in global, matrixed organizations with cross-functional team structures across geographical locations with diverse nationalities
• Proactive, self-starter and able to take initiative
• Fluent English. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
