Job summary

Xactly Corp is seeking a Workday Financials Specialist to join the Business Systems & IT team in Bengaluru. You will administer core financials modules, build reports, and implement integrations to optimize finance operations.

You will collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams, lead testing during Workday releases, and ensure secure, efficient processes within an enterprise ERP landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years configuring and supporting Workday Financials modules (Core Financials, AP, AR, Expenses).
• 2+ years crafting custom Workday reports, calculated fields, and basic EIB/Core Connector integrations.
• Fundamental understanding of Workday architecture, security domains, and standard accounting workflows.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum/Kanban and SDLC processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day administration and user support for Workday Financials modules.
• Design, test, and deploy custom reports and basic integrations using EIB or Core Connector.
• Triage tickets, troubleshoot configuration issues, and optimize finance workflows and approvals.
• Participate in Workday release cycles, perform regression testing, and maintain SDLC documentation.

THE OPPORTUNITY - Workday Financials Specialist

In this role, you will be part of a high-performing Business Systems & IT team that shapes the future of our enterprise software landscape. You will collaborate across Finance and Accounting teams, solve complex technical challenges, and drive continuous optimization, administration, reporting, and integration support for Xactly’s Workday Financials (ERP) ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

• Execute day-to-day administration, user support, and business process configuration across core Workday Financials modules (General Ledger, AP, AR, Expenses, Asset Management, and Procurement).
• Design, test, and deploy custom matrix/composite reports, complex calculated fields, and basic inbound/outbound integrations using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) and Core Connector.
• Triage application support tickets, troubleshoot configuration issues, and optimize business process workflows and approval security domains for finance stakeholders.
• Participate in bi-annual Workday release cycles, lead regression testing, and maintain documentation following established SDLC and change management policies.
• Support cross-application workflows and data feeds connected via tools like Python, Workato, or REST/SOAP APIs in collaboration with senior engineering team members.

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, Finance, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience configuring and supporting Workday Financials modules (Core Financials, AP, AR, Expenses, Asset Management).
• 2+ years of experience crafting custom Workday reports, calculated fields, and basic EIB/Core Connector integrations.
• Fundamental understanding of Workday Financials architecture, security domains, business process frameworks, and standard accounting workflows.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies and standard software delivery lifecycles (QA, UAT, and release management).

Good-to-Have Skills

• Basic exposure or experience with Python, Workato, or REST/SOAP APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehousing concepts or platforms (e.g., Snowflake or Databricks).
• Methodical problem‑solving approach with strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
