Job summary

Xactly, a global leader in AI-driven Sales Performance Orchestration, is seeking a Workday Financials Specialist in India (Karnataka) to administer core modules, develop custom reports, and support integrations. You will collaborate with Finance and IT to optimize workflows and ensure data integrity.

You will participate in release cycles, maintain SDLC-compliant documentation, and work with Python/REST APIs to connect data feeds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, CS, Finance or related field.
• 2+ years configuring and supporting Workday Financials modules (Core Financials, AP, AR, Expenses, Asset Management).
• 2+ years crafting custom Workday reports, calculated fields, and basic EIB/Core Connector integrations.
• Fundamental understanding of Workday architecture, security domains, business processes, and standard accounting workflows.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum/Kanban and SDLC/change management.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day administration and user support across Workday Financials modules.
• Design, test, and deploy custom reports and basic integrations (EIB/Core Connector).
• Triage tickets and optimize finance workflows and security domains.
• Participate in Workday release cycles, perform regression testing, and maintain docs.

THE OPPORTUNITY – Workday Financials Specialist

In this role, you will be part of a high-performing Business Systems & IT team that shapes the future of our enterprise software landscape. You will collaborate across Finance and Accounting teams, solve complex technical challenges, and drive continuous optimization, administration, reporting, and integration support for Xactly’s Workday Financials (ERP) ecosystem.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Execute day-to-day administration, user support, and business process configuration across core Workday Financials modules (General Ledger, AP, AR, Expenses, Asset Management, and Procurement).
• Design, test, and deploy custom matrix/composite reports, complex calculated fields, and basic inbound/outbound integrations using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) and Core Connector.
• Triage application support tickets, troubleshoot configuration issues, and optimize business process workflows and approval security domains for finance stakeholders.
• Participate in bi-annual Workday release cycles, lead regression testing, and maintain documentation following established SDLC and change management policies.
• Support cross-application workflows and data feeds connected via tools like Python, Workato, or REST/SOAP APIs in collaboration with senior engineering team members.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, Finance, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience configuring and supporting Workday Financials modules (Core Financials, AP, AR, Expenses, Asset Management).
• 2+ years of experience crafting custom Workday reports, calculated fields, and basic EIB/Core Connector integrations.
• Fundamental understanding of Workday Financials architecture, security domains, business process frameworks, and standard accounting workflows.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies and standard software delivery lifecycles (QA, UAT, and release management).

Good‑to‑Have Skills

• Basic exposure or experience with Python, Workato, or REST/SOAP APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehousing concepts or platforms (e.g., Snowflake or Databricks).
• Methodical problem‑solving approach with strong communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
