Job summary

Expleo in Bengaluru invites an experienced Work Preparation Engineer to contribute to single-aisle aircraft programs. You will develop manufacturing processes, validate BOMs, and create routings and SOIs, ensuring efficient assembly and tooling planning.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, assess manufacturability from 2D/3D data, and apply GD&T principles while using ERP/PLM systems and CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE. This role offers growth in a global aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation or diploma in Engineering or AME preferred.
• Experience in aerospace or aerostructure is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes and routings.
• Create and validate BOMs, OIS/SOIs, and process instructions.
• Support assembly and tooling planning for single-aisle programs.

Work Preparation Engineer – Single Aisle Manufacturing Support

Responsibilities

Functions to develop:

• Manufacturing processes
• E BOM, M BOM - Assembly process planning , Routing Creation and Standard operating instruction creation Etc. - Workshop support

Qualifications

• Any Graduation / Diploma in Engineering / Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME), or an equivalent technical qualification is preferred.

Essential skills

• Review and validate engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and technical manufacturing documentation for single-aisle aircraft programs.
• Create and modify manufacturing and assembly routings, including associated task management in ERP/PLM systems (e.g., SAP, CATIA V5, 3DEXPERIENCE, MIS).
• Demonstrate a good understanding of assembly processes, manufacturing methods, and process planning, including the creation and modification of Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) and released manufacturing processes
• forsingle-aisle aircraft programs.
• Create and modify repair routings based on non-conformities, design queries, concessions, engineering changes, and configuration management requirements.
• Participate in Multi-Functional Teams (MFT) / Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) for risk analysis, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement.
• Analyze 2D engineering drawings and 3D Digital Mock-Ups (DMU), perform manufacturability and feasibility assessments, and provide technical feedback to the Design Office on tolerancing, geometry, key characteristics, torque values, and manufacturing improvements.
• Understand assembly tooling requirements, tooling selection, validation, and usage during manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Possess good knowledge of engineering drawing interpretation, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and manufacturing principles.
• Familiar with aerospace manufacturing standards, configuration management, engineering change management, and product lifecycle processes is advantage

Experience

• Lead / Senior Manufacturing Engineer: 4–8 years of relevant experience
• Manufacturing Engineer: 1–3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in the aerospace or aerostructure industry/Industrial Engineering background is an added advantage.
• Experience with CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) is an added advantage.
