Job summary

Expleo is seeking an Industrial Design Engineer for its Aerospace team in Bengaluru. You will develop 3D models of manufacturing resources, plant layouts, and digital factory scenarios to optimise industrial processes and workflows.

The role requires 6–10 years of relevant experience, a technical engineering background (Engineering/AME), and proficiency with CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE, ENOVIA/PLM, and DELMIA. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation/Diploma in Engineering or AME preferred.
• Experience in industrial design and digital manufacturing is desired.
• Industrial modelling and factory design knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models of manufacturing resources, workstations, jigs, fixtures, tools, equipment, and factory infrastructure.
• Import, integrate, and position Product, Process, and Resource (PPR) data within the 3DX environment.
• Model production lines, assembly stations, logistics zones, and factory layouts per industrial standards.
• Support digital manufacturing activities by creating and validating manufacturing scenarios.
• Perform clash detection, clearance analysis, and spatial validation of industrial layouts.
• Ensure accurate positioning of manufacturing resources based on engineering and process requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Architects, Design Engineering, Logistics, and Production teams.
• Update 3D models based on engineering changes, process modifications, and manufacturing feedback.
• Manage revisions and maintain configuration control of industrial models within PLM.
• Support factory readiness, industrialization, and production planning activities.
• Generate visualizations, technical reports, and documentation for design reviews.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with Airbus industrial modelling standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of digital manufacturing methodologies and modelling best practices.
• Support export of 3D data for downstream applications such as VR, simulation, and documentation.

Industrial Design Engineer

Responsibilities

Functions to develop:

• Develop 3D models of manufacturing resources, workstations, jigs, fixtures, tools, equipment, and factory infrastructure.

Qualifications

Any Graduation / Diploma in Engineering / Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME), or an equivalent technical qualification is preferred.
