Job summary

Expleo Group in Bengaluru works on aerospace projects, developing avionics systems, aero-efficient designs and propulsion for greener aviation. The role involves planning manufacturing processes for single-aisle aircraft, validating BOMs, and creating routings and SOIs while supporting workshop activities.

Candidates should have graduation or AME-level qualification, with exposure to CATIA V5, 3DEXPERIENCE or ERP/PLM systems, and a good grasp of GD&T and manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

• Graduation/ Diploma in Engineering or AME; technical qualification preferred.
• Experience with CATIA V5, 3DEXPERIENCE or ERP/PLM systems advantageous.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, drawing interpretation and manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing processes for single-aisle aircraft programs.
• Review E-BOM and M-BOM; create/modify routings and standard operating instructions.
• Plan assembly processes and routing creation; provide workshop support.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams for risk analysis and continuous improvement.

Work Preparation Engineer – Single Aisle Manufacturing Support

Qualifications

Any Graduation / Diploma in Engineering / Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME), or an equivalent technical qualification is preferred.

Essential Skills

• Review and validate engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and technical manufacturing documentation for single-aisle aircraft programs.
• Create and modify manufacturing and assembly routings, including associated task management in ERP/PLM systems (e.g., SAP, CATIA V5, 3DEXPERIENCE, MIS).
• Demonstrate a good understanding of assembly processes, manufacturing methods, and process planning, including the creation and modification of Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) and released manufacturing processes for single-aisle aircraft programs.
• Create and modify repair routings based on non-conformities, design queries, concessions, engineering changes, and configuration management requirements.
• Participate in Multi-Functional Teams (MFT) / Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) for risk analysis, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement.
• Analyze 2D engineering drawings and 3D Digital Mock-Ups (DMU), perform manufacturability and feasibility assessments, and provide technical feedback to the Design Office on tolerancing, geometry, key characteristics, torque values, and manufacturing improvements.
• Understand assembly tooling requirements, tooling selection, validation, and usage during manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Possess good knowledge of engineering drawing interpretation, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and manufacturing principles.
• Familiar with aerospace manufacturing standards, configuration management, engineering change management, and product lifecycle processes is advantage

Experience

• Lead / Senior Manufacturing Engineer: 4–8 years of relevant experience
• Manufacturing Engineer: 1–3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in the aerospace or aerostructure industry/Industrial Engineering background is an added advantage.
• Experience with CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) is an added advantage.
