Job summary

Expleo Group is seeking a Work Preparation Engineer to support single-aisle aircraft programs. You will validate drawings, manage BOMs and routings, and drive process planning with ERP/PLM tools.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration to implement improvements and ensure producibility. The successful candidate will bring aerospace manufacturing experience, GD&T proficiency, and a strong bias for quality and efficiency in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Graduation or Diploma in Engineering/AME or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing or industrial engineering is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ERP/PLM tools like SAP or CATIA V5 is beneficial.
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Experience working on Airbus MTM/STV platforms is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes.
• Create and modify BOMs, routings and SOPs; provide workshop support.
• Review 2D drawings and 3D DMU for manufacturability feedback.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for risk analysis and continuous improvement.
• Ensure tooling requirements and validation for assembly operations.

Work Preparation Engineer – Single Aisle Manufacturing Support

Responsibilities

Functions to develop:

• Manufacturing processes
• E BOM, M BOM - Assembly process planning , Routing Creation and Standard operating instruction creation Etc. - Workshop support

Qualifications

Any Graduation / Diploma in Engineering / Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME), or an equivalent technical qualification is preferred.

Essential skills

• Review and validate engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and technical manufacturing documentation forsingle-aisle aircraft programs.
• Create and modify manufacturing and assembly routings, including associated task management in ERP/PLM systems (e.g., SAP, CATIA V5, 3DEXPERIENCE, MIS).
• Demonstrate a good understanding of assembly processes, manufacturing methods, and process planning, including the creation and modification of Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) and released manufacturing processes
• forsingle-aisle aircraft programs.
• Create and modify repair routings based on non-conformities, design queries, concessions, engineering changes, and configuration management requirements.
• Participate in Multi-Functional Teams (MFT) / Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) for risk analysis, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement.
• Analyze 2D engineering drawings and 3D Digital Mock-Ups (DMU), perform manufacturability and feasibility assessments, and provide technical feedback to the Design Office on tolerancing, geometry, key characteristics, torque values, and manufacturing improvements.
• Understand assembly tooling requirements, tooling selection, validation, and usage during manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Possess good knowledge of engineering drawing interpretation, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and manufacturing principles.
• Familiar with aerospace manufacturing standards, configuration management, engineering change management, and product lifecycle processes is advantageExperience working on the Airbus platform for MTM/STV activities would be an added advantage

Experience

• Senior Manufacturing Engineer: 4–8 years of relevant experience
• Experience in the aerospace or aerostructure industry/Industrial Engineering background is an added advantage.
• Experience with CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) is an added advantage.
