Job summary

Brennan is seeking a Managed Services Consultant L2/L3 to own end-to-end infrastructure services, including Windows Server, virtualization, patching, backups, and cloud integrations. You will work on both on-premises and hybrid environments, engaging with clients to deliver reliable performance and security.

The role requires independent delivery, strong communication, and ability to manage incidents and escalations, with a focus on learning and applying the Brennan True Performance approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing Windows server infrastructure and virtualization.
• Familiarity with cloud integrations (Azure, Office 365) and enterprise monitoring tools.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
• Knowledge of hardware vendors and data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and contribute to KMS for client and internal teams, both technically and process-wise.
• Monitor servers and infrastructure using tools like SCOM, Logic Monitor, and Intune/SCCM configurations.
• Manage on-premises backups and migrations, including VM provisioning and upgrades.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of infrastructure deliverables, including security patches and maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software support and upgrades.

The Role

This role requires the ability to work independently while taking end-to-end ownership of infrastructure deliverables, including Windows server management and maintenance, patching and upgrades, vulnerability management, infrastructure risk assessment and remediation, Back-up, Network, Hyper-V/Vmware, change management, mini projects, and other ad-hoc responsibilities as required to support business objectives.

Role Responsibilities

• Maintaining/contributing to KMS for client and internal team, for both technical & processes
• Server monitoring using SCOM, N-ABLE, Logic Monitor, Basic Intune / SCCM configurations
• Understanding of O365, Mimecast, Intune, Azure integration.
• Vendor Management (hardware and Software vendors - HP, Dell, MS, VM, Citrix and others)
• Storage understanding NAS, SAN e.g., data domain, IBM, Netapp, Hitachi, Fujitsu, HP 3par
• Administration of Windows Server, groups, group policies, DNS, DHCP
• Understanding of backups, replications for Veeam, Symantec, Zetro, Commvault
• On premises backup alert management, monitoring and restoration
• Execution of maintenance tasks, App upgrades, patch escalations etc.
• Monitor, Investigate and elevate issues in timely manner as per escalation Matrix
• Ability to manage technical escalations from client/end user/internal team
• Migration of VM’s from on premise to cloud
• Basic understanding of SQL, maintenance plan, backup
• Understanding of certificate management on appliance, servers, websites
• SSL certificate renewal and installation on various roles (IIS, ADFS, ADC-Netscaler, > > Apache, SQL Reporting Services, WAS, Load Balancers)
• Smooth and timely customer engagement
• Disk, CPU, Snapshot management provisioning
• Monitor, manage experience with ESXI/Hyper-V hosts, Nutanix, Dell, HP SimpliVity
• Manage understand Failover Cluster, NLB
• Citrix/RDS/WVD knowledge with application publishing, upgrading, managing securely
• Manage windows update compliance.
• Antivirus Management, Sophos, Defender.
• Routine firmware upgrades of Physical Servers.
• Capacity planning and management
• Patching ESXi hosts and vCenter updates
• Basic know how of linux
• Availability during critical outages impacting multiple functions
• Maintain the performance level and upkeep virtual, physical infrastructure
• Working within the team to develop processes to enable Automation, Orchestration, and enhance existing service.

Key Competencies and Qualifications required

• Knowledge of as many more technologies like VMware, Windows Hypervisors, Azure Administrations, O365, Mimecast, SQL Administration, Windows Administration.
• Must have secondary and tertiary technical skills.
• Should have experience in VM Deployment, VM Migration, managing host clusters
• Extremely high-level attention to detail with methodical troubleshooting process
• Independent time management skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must have knowledge of Storage technologies like HP, IBM, Dell, Cisco servers
• Demonstrable Industry based technical aptitude (E.g., Microsoft, Citrix, HP, VMware, Hyperv, Nutanix, O365, Azure Administration)
• Proactive vs Reactive approach
• ITIL Service Management Foundation accreditation
• Windows Server including 2016/2019, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
• Active Directory 2012 and above
• VMware / Virtualization (Hyper - V, VMware)
• O365, Azure Administration.
