Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Windchill Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of Windchill PLM solutions for global automotive, aerospace and manufacturing clients from Bengaluru.

The role requires deep Windchill expertise, ERP integrations (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle), and strong Java/J2EE skills, with leadership across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) with at least 5+ years as a Windchill Solution Architect or Technical Architect.
• Strong expertise in PTC Windchill modules including PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, PartsLink, and Change Management.
• Hands-on experience in Windchill customization, configuration, workflow development, and Info*Engine integrations.
• Experience integrating Windchill with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle ERP, and CAD tools like Creo, CATIA, NX, and SolidWorks.
• Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, REST APIs, Web Services, XML, and enterprise integration frameworks.
• Experience leading Windchill upgrades, migration programs, performance tuning, and cloud deployment initiatives.
• Knowledge of Digital Thread, Digital Twin, MBSE, Model-Based Manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 initiatives is highly desirable.
• Experience working within Agile delivery models and global distributed teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Windchill PLM solutions for global engineering and manufacturing organizations.
• Define scalable Windchill architecture, data models, integrations, and customization strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Architect and implement solutions involving Product Data Management (PDM), Change Management, Configuration Management, and Document Management.
• Lead Windchill upgrades, migrations, performance optimization, and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Design and govern integrations between Windchill and enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle ERP, MES, CRM, and CAD applications.
• Provide technical leadership for customization and development using Windchill APIs, Java, J2EE, Info*Engine, and Workflow technologies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and delivery teams to define PLM roadmaps and solution blueprints.
• Establish architecture standards, development guidelines, governance frameworks, and best practices.
• Lead technical reviews, solution assessments, risk mitigation, and implementation planning activities.
• Mentor development teams and provide technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
