Job summary

Wit Hunt in India seeks an experienced Manager to lead CNC machining and assembly. You will drive production planning, scheduling, and shop-floor optimization across HAAS HMC, VMC and lathes while guiding operators on quality, safety and efficiency.

Role requires 10–15 years in mechanical engineering, with strong drawing interpretation, tooling, and CAPA-driven improvements for continuous performance enhancement.

Qualifications

• BE/Dip in Mech with 10-15 years experience in light engineering industry.
• Experience in machine shop with HAAS HMC, VMC, lathes and programming capability.
• Ability to read drawings and drive process improvements, tooling, jigs & fixtures.
• Experience in production planning, cost estimation, 5S and CAPA actions.

Responsibilities

• Improve manpower utilization and schedule stability for maximum efficiency.
• Review subordinates' performance and identify training needs.
• Oversee monthly/weekly production schedule and implement daily plan.
• Dynamically adjust schedules to meet month-end goals and allocate resources.
• Determine material and human resources required and manage rework/corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement, safety practices and on-time handover to dispatch.

Job description

Should be a BE / Dip in Mech with 10 - 15 years of experience in any light engineering industry. Preferably experience in machine shop consisting of HAAS make- HMC, VMC- CNC machining centers and lathes. Should be able to programme HAAS make HMC, VMC & control shop floor workmen in the shift. Thorough understanding of the drawings for the process improvements, knowledge in productivity improvement methods, tooling selection, jigs & fixtures development. Experience in production

planning of the monthly and weekly schedules of the products, experience in assembly, testing and handover to dispatch of the daily production planned etc .Knowledge of cost estimation, 5S, and hands on experience for initiating corrective / preventive actions for the shop floor problems and also for customer compliance.

Job Description:

• Improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes. Schedule stability that allows for maximum return on efficiencies
• Reviewing the performance of subordinates Identifying training needs
• Overseeing the production schedule after receiving the monthly planning Implement and control the daily production schedule
• Dynamically review and adjust the schedule where needed to meet month-end goals Determine the human resources required
• Determine the material resources required
• Rework and rejection trend and ensure the execution of counter Measures and give direction to team to implement action plan
