Job summary

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Welding Inspection and Welding, with a solid understanding of welding processes, materials, and applicable standards.
• Candidates should possess experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance, including implementation of inspection plans and documentation of findings.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Inspection activities related to structural steel and bridge construction, including visual and basic non-destructive testing methods.
• Relevant technical education, such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field; certification as a Welding Inspector (e.g., AWS, CSWIP, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and specifications; strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good communication and reporting skills, ability to work safely on construction sites, and capacity to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in heavy civil or bridge construction projects and familiarity with international quality and safety standards will be beneficial.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Welding Inspector role based in Pune District. The Welding Inspector will perform daily inspection of welded structures and components, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, project specifications, and safety requirements. Responsibilities include reviewing welding procedures and documentation, monitoring welding activities, conducting visual and non-destructive examinations, and recording inspection results clearly and accurately. The role involves collaborating with site engineers, supervisors, and welding personnel to identify non-conformities, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement in welding quality. The Welding Inspector will also assist in maintaining quality records, participating in audits, and contributing to the overall quality assurance and safety culture on site.
