Job summary

Alstom Transportation in Vadodara (Savli) is seeking a full-time Welding Engineer to apply welding expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams to ensure welding specifications meet standards and support product safety.

The role centers on supervising the qualifications of welding staff and procedures, leading the Welding Technique group, and driving continuous improvement in welding processes.

Qualifications

• Degree: IWE or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in heavy metal welding industry.
• Ability to train engineers and welders.
• Experience in locomotive or automobile industry preferred.
• 10-12 years of professional experience in a similar field.
• Proficiency in English.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise welding staff qualifications and procedures.

Youll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with welding specifications and standards, directly impacting the quality and safety of our products. Day-to-day, youll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality), provide technical support to various departments, and take part in supplier and customer audits, among other responsibilities.

Youll specifically take care of supervising the qualifications of welding staff and procedures, but also lead the "Welding Technique" group and drive continuous improvement in welding processes.
