Job summary

Technip Energies is seeking an Engineer - Welding for our Technical Services team based in Dahej, Gujarat. You will contribute to welding planning, qualification documentation, and field execution for process skids, vessels, and heat exchangers.

The role requires 4–8 years of welding engineering experience with strong knowledge of ASME, EN, and NDE methods. A metallurgy background is essential to handle diverse materials and welding processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in metallurgy engineering (BE/BTech/ME/MTech).
• 4–8 years of welding engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Welding planning & execution as per ASME and EN codes.
• Prepare WPS, PQR and welder certificates.
• Experience with various metallurgies (stainless steels, Inconel, low alloy steels).
• NDE exposure: RT, UT, PAUT, MT, PT.
• Fabrication of process skids, vessels and heat exchangers.

About the opportunity we offer:

• Detailed work experience for welding planning & execution as per ASME SEC IX, ASME SECTION VIII DIV.1 & 2, ASME SEC II C, ASME B31.3, IBR, EN 1090-2, EN ISO 3834-2, AWS D1.1, AWS D1.6, TEMA & PED requirements.
• Work experience for welding planning & execution as per API RP 582, API 934 C, API 934 A, IOGP S 705, API 660, etc.
• Experience with Metallurgies like Duplex Stainless Steel, Austenitic Stainless Steel (SS304, SS316L, SS321, SS310), Inconel 600, Inconel 800, Incolloy 800H, Low alloy steel grades (Gr. P9, Gr. 22, Gr.11), Low temperature carbon steel, etc.
• Hands on experience for preparation of WPS, PQR, Welder certificates as per ASME SEC IX, AWS D1.1, AWS D1.6, EN ISO 15614 & EN ISO 9606, etc.
• Practical exposure to NDE like RT, UT, PAUT, MT, PT.
• On Job experience for fabrication of Process skids & Modules, Pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers, Equipments with Cladded components, Heater Fabrication, etc.
