Job summary

Divine Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd. is expanding our QA/QC team and seeking a motivated Welding / NDT Engineer to drive quality, innovation, and excellence in our projects.

The candidate will develop WPS, PQR, WQT per ASME/AWS standards and guide welding processes across multiple welding methods while reviewing client specs and codes. Strong documentation and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Welding, or related field.
• 2+ years in QA/QC or Welding Engineering – Steel Structural Fabrication.
• Familiarity with ASME/AWS D1.1 codes, welding symbols, and NDT basics.
• Ability to interpret drawings and client specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and qualify WPS, PQR, and WQT per ASME / AWS standards.
• Guide welding processes (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW) and consumables.
• Interpret drawings, client specs, and codes during fabrication.
• Coordinate QC & Third-Party Inspections and review NDT results (RT, UT, PT, MT).
• Ensure compliance with procedures, train welders, and implement welding safety.
• Maintain documentation, participate in audits, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and qualify WPS, PQR, and WQT as per ASME / AWS standards
• Guide and monitor welding processes (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW) and consumables
• Interpret drawings, client specs, and codes during fabrication
• Support production in troubleshooting & optimizing welding processes
• Coordinate QC & Third-Party Inspections and review NDT results (RT, UT, PT, MT)
• Ensure compliance with procedures, train welders, and implement welding safety
• Maintain documentation, participate in audits, and drive continuous improvement

Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Welding, or related field
• 35 years (min 2 years acceptable) in QA/QC or Welding Engineering – Steel Structural Fabrication is a must
• Working knowledge of ASME / AWS D1.1 codes, welding symbols, and NDT basics
