Job summary

SGS India is seeking experienced Welding Inspectors / Welding Engineers for a prestigious industrial/process project at Dholera, Gujarat. Candidates should hold CSWIP or AWS certification and have relevant welding inspection and QA/QC experience on site.

Responsibilities include inspecting welding, fabrication and piping, reviewing WPS/PQR/WPQ, coordinating with NDT, and ensuring compliance with ASME/API/ISO standards. Dholera location with project-based employment.

Qualifications

• CSWIP or AWS certification required.
• Experience in Welding Inspection / QA-QC on industrial projects.
• Knowledge of WPS, PQR, WPQ and NDT processes.
• Familiarity with ASME/API/ISO welding standards.
• Site-based project experience preferred.
• Willingness to work at Dholera, Gujarat.

Responsibilities

• Conduct welding inspection and QA/QC activities at project/site.
• Inspect welding, fabrication, piping and construction activities.
• Review and verify WPS, PQR and WPQ documentation.
• Monitor welding activities as per approved procedures and applicable standards.
• Coordinate and review NDT activities and inspection reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable welding standards such as ASME, API, ISO, etc.
• Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, client representatives and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and approved quality plans.

Required Experience & Skills

• Relevant experience in Welding Inspection / QA-QC.
• Experience in piping, fabrication and construction inspection.
• Mandatory piping experience in:
• UPVC
• Carbon Steel
• Alloy Steel
• Stainless Steel
• Good knowledge of WPS, PQR, WPQ and NDT.
• Knowledge of applicable ASME / API / ISO standards.
• Strong technical, communication and reporting skills.
• Project/site experience will be preferred.
• Willingness to work at Dholera, Gujarat.
