Job summary

Cyient Limited in Pune seeks a BE Mechanical engineer with hands‑on welding process planning experience to drive sequence of events and OMS documentation for weldment manufacturing.

You will develop and review weld sequences, optimize parameters, and work with SAP for routings and BOM creation. Proficiency in AutoCAD/CREO and GD&T is required, along with lean methods and robotics welding exposure.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical with experience in welding process planning and IE activities.
• In depth knowledge of welding processes and related documentation.
• Experience in creating and reviewing sequences of events, process planning and operator method sheets for weldment manufacturing.
• Knowledge of workflow processing, weld drawings, weld symbols and GD&T.
• Experience with manual and robotics weld processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review welding sequences of events and OMS documentation.
• Plan and optimize welding processes and parameters.
• Work with SAP for routings and BOM creation.
• Lead line balancing, manpower planning and ergonomic evaluations.
• Implement Lean manufacturing methods to improve efficiency.
• Utilize CAD tools (AutoCAD/CREO) for weldment drawings and tolerances.

Job description

• B.E Mechanical with 4 years of experience in welding assembly process planning with IE related activities which includes like creation of Sequence of Events & OMS documentation.
• In Depth knowledge & experience in Welding processes
• Creation and reviewing Sequences of Events, Process Planning and Operator Method Sheets for Weldment Manufacturing
• Experience in Work content Estimation, line balancing, manpower planning, ergonomic evaluation of jobs, kitting, Lean Manufacturing methods
• Knowledge and experience in SAP for Routings and BOM creation
• Good Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D Modelling e-tool, preferably CREO
• Skill in using Computer Aided Design tools.
• Good knowledge on Weld Drawings, Weld Symbols and GD & T
• Knowledge & Experience of Workflow processing - Manufacturing sequence of events, Weldment drawing review, tolerance review & DFMW.
• Experience in Manual and Robotics Weld Processes
• Executes the PDP / OFP Welding projects in Weld Process Planning, DFMW Analysis, Manual & Robotics welding at individual capacity.
• Experience in welding process selection, parameter selection and optimization
• Knowledge of Identifying and implementing quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas
