Job summary

Panigrahana Weddings in Goa is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Wedding Designer to translate clients' visions into cohesive design concepts and on-ground experiences during luxury celebrations.

You will collaborate with clients, planners, vendors, and internal teams from mood boards to execution, manage multiple weddings, and travel to venues as needed while growing into a leadership role within our Goa team.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in wedding design, event design, interior design, or related field.
• Strong eye for colours, textures, fabrics, florals, furniture, lighting and spatial aesthetics.
• Ability to create professional mood boards and presentations.
• Knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD, SketchUp or similar tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel and work on-ground during wedding events.
• Passionate about weddings, design, creativity, and creating exceptional experiences.

Responsibilities

• Translate client visions into cohesive wedding design from concept to on-ground execution.

Role Overview

As a Wedding Designer, you will be responsible for translating a client's vision into a cohesive wedding design — from the initial concept and mood boards to design development and on-ground execution.

You will work closely with clients, planners, production teams, vendors, and internal designers to ensure every visual and creative detail is executed to the expected standard.

This role is ideal for someone who combines sales ability, communication skills, creativity, and an understanding of weddings. As a Wedding Designer, you will be the first point of contact for prospective clients and will be responsible for understanding their wedding requirements, presenting our services, developing the right proposal, building relationships, and converting enquiries into confirmed projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle incoming wedding enquiries and leads from various channels.
• Understand client briefs, preferences, wedding aesthetics, and overall vision.
• Develop creative concepts, themes, colour palettes, and design directions for weddings.
• Create detailed mood boards, design presentations, layouts, and decor concepts and costing.
• Understand the client's vision and recommend suitable planning, design, decor, hospitality, and execution solutions.
• Prepare and present customized wedding proposals and quotations.
• Coordinate with the internal planning, design, production, and operations teams to develop accurate proposals.
• Build strong relationships with clients and guide them through the decision-making process.
• Convert qualified leads into confirmed wedding projects.
• Participate in venue visits, site measurements, recce, and design discussions.
• Prepare design references and communicate concepts clearly to clients and execution teams.
• Review samples, materials, colours, fabrics, furniture, florals, and other decor elements.
• Be involved in on-ground setup and ensure the final execution matches the approved design.
• Manage multiple wedding projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in luxury weddings, hospitality, fashion, interiors, florals, and event design.
• Develop relationships with hotels, venues, vendors, and other wedding industry partners to generate business opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of experience in wedding design, event design, interior design, visual merchandising, hospitality design, or a related creative field.
• Strong creative sense and an eye for detail.
• Good understanding of colours, textures, fabrics, florals, furniture, lighting, and spatial aesthetics.
• Ability to create professional mood boards and presentations.
• Knowledge of design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools will be an advantage.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong convincing, negotiation, and closing abilities.
• Ability to understand client requirements and convert them into the right solution.
• Willingness to travel and work on-ground during wedding events.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage tight timelines.
• Ability to manage multiple leads and follow-ups simultaneously.
