Job summary

Blackbaud India is seeking a Web Developer to design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable code within the Blackbaud Luminate platform. You will enjoy solving complex problems and communicating with clients and stakeholders while resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

You will design and troubleshoot across production environments, proactively suggest performance improvements, and work with product management to coordinate implementations.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of front-end web development experience.
• Strong HTML and CSS skills.
• Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SASS/SCSS.
• Solid JavaScript knowledge.
• Experience with modern frameworks; Angular preferred, React a plus.
• Ability to integrate with APIs and modernize legacy codebases.
• Familiarity with accessibility best practices and UX basics.
• Experience with AI coding tools is a plus.
• Proficient in using version control and CI/CD tools.

As a Web Developer, you will build and customize web solutions within the Blackbaud Luminate platform. You enjoy solving complex problems and addressing issues in a thoughtful and creative manner. You bring strong knowledge of web development best practices and you communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders while resolving issues in a timely and professional way.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve defects in Production environments in a timely manner
• Proactively suggest improvements to customizations and processes that enhance the client experience or improve performance
• Actively participate in the maintenance and support of customizations
• Work with customer and internal stakeholders to understand and document project requirements
• Collaborate with team on the technical design of solutions and on defect resolution
• Keep up to date on the latest technical developments in your area
• Ensure compliance with Web standards and accessibility requirements.
• Work closely with product management and other team members to coordinate implementation and provide progress updates for client work
• Ensure that robust high-quality code standards are maintained in the development process.
• Manage work across multiple clients at a time
• Work night shifts in India to align with business hours in the U.S.

What We’ll Want You To Have

• 2-3 years of experience in front-end web development
• Strong proficiency in core web technologies, including HTML and CSS
• Experience using CSS preprocessors such as SASS or SCSS
• Solid working knowledge of JavaScript
• Experience developing applications with modern frameworks;
• Angular preferred, with React experience a plus
• Ability to work effectively within and modernize legacy frameworks and codebases
• Comfortable consuming and integrating with APIs
• Experience with AI coding tools
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail when implementing, reviewing, and refining web solutions
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git and continuous integration systems.
• Understanding of accessibility best practices proactively to ensure inclusive, compliant, and high‑quality user interfaces
• General understanding of User Experience (UX) and web design principles and how they influence implementation
• Comfortable using Quality Assurance and testing tools to validate functionality and user experience
• Experienced in creating and maintaining documentation that enables team alignment and knowledge sharing

Job Responsibilities

• Learn the Luminate Online platform, including its key features and functionality; understand how non-profit organizations use it to raise money and further their missions
• Learn the product configurations and settings that are commonly used by clients
• Consult with clients to understand their fundraising goals and needs, then capture business and technical requirements
• Write, test, and deliver code which meets consistent standards of quality, security and operability.
• Learn and use new AI technologies
• Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to customers
• Can analyze and understand existing implementations to make updates within existing structures
• Find creative and efficient solutions to enhance product functionality
• Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities
