Job summary

Mafatlal Industries in Gujarat is seeking a hands-on operator to manage day-to-day Weaving Preparatory operations during the assigned shift. You will monitor warping, sizing, and related activities to keep production flowing.

The role requires supervision of manpower, attention to process parameters, quality checks of yarn and beams, and coordination with weaving, maintenance, quality, and planning teams. You will also conduct shift handovers and maintain production records.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Weaving Preparatory processes.
• Knowledge of Warp & Sizing operations.
• Understanding of yarn, beam and weaving preparation processes.
• Basic knowledge of machine settings, process parameters, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Weaving Preparatory operations during the assigned shift.
• Monitor preparatory processes such as warping, sizing, and related activities.
• Ensure smooth running of machines and minimize breakdowns, stoppages, and production losses.
• Monitor production as per planned targets and ensure timely completion.
• Supervise and allocate manpower according to shift requirements.
• Monitor yarn quality, beam quality, sizing parameters, and process parameters.
• Coordinate with Weaving, Maintenance, Quality, and Production Planning teams for smooth operations.
• Identify and resolve operational issues and escalate major technical problems to the concerned department.
• Maintain production records, shift reports, machine performance records, and other required documentation.
• Monitor wastage and take corrective actions to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct proper shift handover and communicate pending issues to the next shift.
• Train and guide operators/workers regarding proper machine and process practices.
